It's October 31 and you know what that means....
Starting tomorrow our Facebook and Instagram feeds are going to be full of those "I'm Thankful for _____" posts.
There is NOTHING wrong with those posts (I did the "Thankful" thing on Facebook a year or so ago), but I propose something different this year. Something a bit more personal. Join me in doing the following 30-Day Gratitude Challenge!
Using one of the prompts below, write a note to someone you'd like to thank for their influence in your life. For example, under "LOVE," you could thank a significant other or spouse. Or maybe a child, parent or someone else special in your life who taught you about love.
- Love
- Nature
- Sight
- Hobby
- Work
- Family
- Friendship
- Fear
- Book
- Faith
- Change
- Quiet
- Food
- Noise
- Smell
- Color
- Music
- Laughter
- Smile
- Hope
- Accomplishment
- Passionate
- Purpose
- Intention
- Mentor
- Movement
- Stillness
- Kindness
- Letting Go
- Inspiration
There are really no rules to this challenge. There is no right or wrong way to do it. This challenge is all about reflection and thankfulness - whatever that means to you.
Personally, I plan to handwrite and mail as many notes as possible. But that may not always be feasibly...enter email or Facebook messenger. I don't think the method of delivery matters so much, just the content.
Side-note - this would be a perfect time to use this new, Ahh...ma...zing app I stumbled upon: Felt. You can create cards with handwritten notes in them and mail...all in one application. I love it.
Let's make someone's day brighter this November. This world could use a little more gratitude.
